Patella Tendinopathy

by | Dec 9, 2021 | Injuries and Conditions | 0 comments

Pain at the front of your knee?

There are numerous injuries to the front of your knee, otherwise known as anterior knee pain. Patella tendinopathy can be a painful condition which may cause pain and weakness to loading your leg, particularly during sport, on lounging, jumping and ascending/descending hills.

Diagnostic ultrasound is an excellent tool to assess the patella tendon and rule in or out structural abnormality. In most cases we perform extra corporeal shockwave therapy to the patella and a thorough loading rehabilitation programme to ensure a speedy recovery and return to sport.
